When a customer’s tank is damaged, the story doesn’t end there. At Vision Plastics, it’s the beginning of a new cycle.
First, we send the customer free bulk bag(s). Once they arrive, the customer cuts up the damaged tank, gives it a clean, and fills the bags with the plastic scrap. From there, they can either drop the bags off at one of our hubs around New Zealand, or we can arrange a pickup directly from their site — a simple option that often saves them valuable time.
Depending on the location and circumstances, the entire process is usually free for the customer.
The plastic then makes its journey back to Vision Plastics, where it’s processed back down into its natural form, ready to be moulded into new products. What was once a damaged tank can become pits, lids, or even bright orange road barriers.
By keeping this plastic in circulation, the cycle helps prevent large volumes of material from ending up in landfill — turning waste into something useful again and giving the plastic a second life.
